We think it is important to enter some animals in shows to learn from judges and other breeders, to talk over their thoughts and ideas and to share our vision with other breeders and members of the public that attend these events. That being said we are not driven by breeding for show ring achievement. We have our own breeding aims and goals which are not necessarily aligned with that which will produce a show ring winner.
Our first season of entering our animals has still proven very pleasing.
Burnie 2006
Tutapi Pinta - Champion Intermediate Suri Female
Royal Launceston 2006
Tutapi Pinta - Champion Intermediate Suri Female
Tutapi Kalahari - Junior Black Suri Female - 3rd
Junior Handling
Tobias and Kelsey were both winners of their age groups at Royal Launceston and Tobias also took out first place at Burnie.
In the lead up to both shows we had a young house guest who we introduced to the world of alpacas and junior handling. James Erwin came along to both of these shows and after only leading an alpaca for the first time 8 days before was runner-up to Tobias in the u/15 section at Royal Launceston. Well Done Everyone !!
2007 proved to be another happy year for us
